Koinobori Karasu Silk Twill Scarf Triangle
This design references many elements of the arts and culture of Edo-period Japan. It features a folkloric Karasu (jungle crow) diving into the tempestuous Hokusai-inspired waves. The bird clutches a golden-lacquered samurai sword and has become entangled in strings of koinobori (hand-painted, fish-shaped flags) and a fish skeleton. The borders of the illustration depict a beautifully plaited samurai rope. Throughout the design, details and names are noted in Japanese hand-script, echoing ancient zoological manuscripts from the 17th century, along with Hanko stamps bearing the names Sabina Savage and Koinobori Karasu.
Every Sabina Savage product arrives individually gift wrapped as standard.
Scarf orders will include a signature branded gift box and branded travel dust bag (for scarves 90cm square and larger). Clothing orders are packaged in either a branded gift box or branded garment bag, dependent on the item. Each piece is wrapped in bespoke ivory tissue paper and a gold wax seal.
Every order is accompanied by a printed collection book narrating the story behind your chosen piece, and detailing the craft, inspirations and themes of the collection.
