Ten-Year Presentation and Book Launch at The Royal Academy of Arts

A note from Sabina:

Ten years is a fairly surreal milestone. In a year which has already proven to be a very transitional one for me in many ways, publishing A Savage Kingdom and planning this event has been an opportunity to step back and take stock of how far the brand has come, and how incredibly fortunate I am to do a job I love every single day (and that’s not just because my animals can come to work with me).
It goes without saying that nobody reaches this milestone alone, and I have been so exceptionally privileged to have the support of so many wonderful people along the way. Primarily, it has been a pleasure to work alongside my tiny yet brilliant team during the past few years; I am so grateful for their care and dedication.

As an extension of my studio team, I’d like to thank our UK scarf and clothing manufacturers who commit such dedication to upholding exceptional levels of quality and craftsmanship in an age of fast fashion. Their work is integral to my work.

I’d like to extend a huge thank you to the team at Hurtwood for publishing and creating A Savage Kingdom with me. Hurtwood were a dream to work with, and are all so brilliantly passionate about the details, as am I. Thank you to Myfanwy Vernon-Hunt for the beautiful page design and layout, and to Zoe Lescaze for the enchanting introduction. To the team at Hampton for their incredible work on the print, and to Diamond for allowing us an insight into the fascinating binding process. I was already an art book obsessive before we started this project, but now the obsession goes off the scale! A Savage Kingdom is everything I had hoped it would be and more.
Finally, I would like to thank you, the customers, followers and friends of the brand. I am truly humbled by the interest shown in my work and will never take that for granted. Thank you for allowing me to do what I love, and here’s to the next ten years.
