Intro to brand

Sabina Savage offers elaborate, heritage-inspired prints on scarves and clothing. Each print is inspired by mythical or historical events and tales; with each illustration developed with true authenticity to its story and created in its entirety before being applied to the fabric. We make all of our products in the UK and believe in true quality and integrity in all we do. The team consists of Sabina, a Brand Manager and a Studio Assistant and we all work closely together at our lovely Hackney studio. 

Overview of role

The Sabina Savage brand has now reached a point where we need to bring in a creative marketing specialist to take it to the next level. This person will work with Sabina to create the annual communications plan for the business and manage it on a day-to-day basis, enabling the brand to reach its potential in storytelling around its creativity and craft. We are a small team, so this is a great opportunity for the right person to take ownership of the marketing function and also become fully integrated into the business. The ideal candidate will be coming from a Senior Exec or Manager level role.

Role & Responsibilities

The successful Marketing Manager will be responsible for:
Creation and management of the communications calendar on a day-to-day basis
Work closely with Sabina and the Brand Manager to build the marketing plans around seasonal launches and partnerships
Work closely with Sabina on all content creation, managing any external content creators and ensuring all launches are fully supported with relevant and engaging content
Support with the brand PR strategy, working with the team to target the right titles for each product launch and highlighting Sabina where possible
Build and manage the influencer and gifting strategies
Assist with all brand and product collaborations
Work with the team on any events or experiential activity such as launches or pop-ups
Be responsible for all communications channels, to include (but not limited to) email, social media, performance marketing, media, website (imagery, messaging and Journal)
Be the brand guardian for any external partners such as wholesale partners and stockists
Bring new ideas to the brand to ensure we are embracing all opportunities to engage new customers
Keep up to date with the competitor landscape to inform the business and marketing activity
Manage the marketing budget, analysing and reporting back on performance to maximise potential

Skills & Experience Required

Minimum 4-5 years’ experience in marketing within the consumer goods industry
A good understanding of the luxury consumer
Experience managing social media channels
Knowledge of performance marketing
Knowledge of CRM and ecommerce systems (Shopify preferred but not essential)
Some experience in PR a plus
Experience working with owner/creative director in previous role a plus
A creative eye and ability to think outside the box
Ability to use their own initiative and take ownership of the role
An appreciation of craft and illustration.
